Are animals allowed on the bus?
All animals are allowed on transit vehicles free of charge if they are properly restrained/kenneled and are under the owner’s control. Animals other than service animals must be in an enclosed and secured bag, carrier or kennel. Service animals must be on a harness, leash, or tether unless the owner’s disability prohibits their use or the animal’s work would be adversely impacted. Animals may ride on a space available basis. If a transit vehicle is at capacity and there is no room to accommodate an animal, even when one which complies with all other terms of this policy, the passenger must wait for the next vehicle. Any animal, including a service animal, which is not under control, may be removed from the vehicle. Not under control means showing aggressive behavior, defecating, urinating, physically touching other passengers such as pawing, etc. Allergic reactions from other passengers or fear of the animal are sufficient grounds to remove an animal other than a service animal. Situations involving animals can be unpredictable. Every effort will be made to accommodate the passenger in the implementation of this policy.
Can the buses accommodate my mobility aid?
Yes. Buses are equipped with ramps to make it easier for persons using a wheelchair, walker, or other mobility aid to board. The courtesy seating area at the front of the bus has seats that lift up to accommodate a wheelchair. Passenger buses also “kneel” to reduce the distance from the curb to the first step.

Can I bring a stroller or grocery cart on the bus?

Carts or similar carrying devices must have items removed and placed in a seat or on the passenger’s lap. Strollers, carts or similar carrying devices must be folded and stored in such a way to keep the aisle free of obstructions to allow for the clear minimum aisle width necessary for other passengers and mobility devices.
Can I take my bike on the bus?
Yes. Buses have racks on the front that can accommodate two or three bicycles, depending on which vehicle you are on. When the bus pulls up to your stop, tell the driver that you will be securing your bike to the rack and the driver will wait for you. When you get off the bus, be sure to tell the driver you will be removing your bike.
